Why this exists
Built because the planner I wanted didn't exist.
I've been tracking my tasks for a long time. Spreadsheets, then half the apps you've heard of, then Motion — still the best planner I've used.
But none of them fit how I actually plan — recurring series with an end date, tasks that get put in my schedule even if they don't have a deadline, or annual recurring items.
So I built Kale.
Add your tasks. Tell Kale the context — priorities, dependencies, what recurs and until when, from daily habits to the once-a-year renewals you'd otherwise forget. Connect your calendar. Kale fits everything together with one deterministic algorithm. Same inputs, same plan, every time.
I've moved my entire backlog into Kale. The best part isn't that it plans my month — it's that I know exactly why every task landed where it did.
